ADELPHIA CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

Truth, Beauty, Goodness, and Unity in Christ are essential pillars of a classical Christian program. The Academy aspires to foster unity in Jesus Christ to help show the world that the Father sent the Son (John 17:21). The Academy requires that all families and staff members sign and agree to the below beliefs. The Academy strives to teach and nurture a basic Christian foundation and defers to individual families to teach the details of their specific Christian beliefs to their child(ren).

We believe the Bible to be the Word of God and an infallible Authority for faith and practice.

We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

We believe that God created the heavens and earth, including all life, by a direct, supernatural act, and not by a process of evolution.

We believe that God created each human being in His image and likeness and that there are only two sexes--male and female, which are unique, complementary, and unchangeable.

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin Birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning Death through His shed Blood, in His bodily Resurrection, in His Ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
 

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, comfort, sanctify, seal, reprove, and empower the believer for Godly living and service.
 

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith.
 

We believe that faith without works is dead.
 

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved to the resurrection of life, and they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation.
 

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
 

We believe that the family is ordained by God as the basic unit of His plan for His people. The institution of marriage between one man and one woman as created by God provides the foundation and definition for the family.
 

We believe in the preservation and edification of the family to be an act of obedience to God.
 

We believe in the sanctity of all human life. This life should be protected, nurtured, and helped from the moment of conception (when life begins), until death occurs naturally.
